Question & Answers

[Food-india] What's your cooking philosophy?
[Shanthi] Cooking is an art and comes only by experience. I use only quality ingredients. The dedication while cooking and serving food with a smile will make the food more palatable.

[Food-india] What do you hope people get out of your blog posts?
[Shanthi] Blogging has given me an opportunity to learn many things. The recipes should be simple & authentic. My blog solely showcases my cooking and photography skills. My blog recipes can be tried even by a novice cook.  I present authentic and delicious cooking which, I hope, will be of help everyone.

[Food-india] How did you learn cooking?
[Shanthi] Everyone learns cooking from their mom. I too learnt the cooking basics from my mom, and granny. After marriage, I adapted the style of my mother-in- law.  Apart from it, my passion in cooking has helped me a lot.  I refer to cookbooks for traditional recipes. While a fresher, I was crazy to note down many recipes from the TV shows and magazines, but never tried it.

[Food-india] Who are some of your favorite food blogs and websites?
[Shanthi] All the blog with authentic, honest and good recipes. Blogs with beautiful presentations and step-by-step descriptions are my favorite.

[Food-india] What is your favorite Indian meal?
[Shanthi] South Indian and north Indian vegetarian cuisine. I am not good at making baked dishes. I like anything vegetarian. Snacks are my favorite. I also love chocolates and ice creams.

[Food-india] Is there anything else you'd like to add?
[Shanthi] Explore your own recipes. I have never taken other’s work and displayed it as mine. Never copy a material and produce it as your own. Have in mind the hard work, time and effort we have put in our space. All bloggers do join hands in stopping plagiarism.
