Cloves | Laung


Cloves or Laung are dried bud that are essential component in many curry powders. Cloves have distinct sweet astringent and aromatic flavor and scent. Cloves are used in many cultures from around the world from things like meat to dessert.

Cloves are both used as whole or ground in many Indian dishes such as rice, sauces. Sometimes Laung are taken separately after meal to freshen the breath. Also spelled Luang.
