Ingredients
1 lb. ground meat
1 onion chopped
¼ cup vegetable shortening
½ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon red pepper (or according
to taste)
¼ teaspoon black pepper ground
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon ground ginger
1 tomato
¼ lb. green peas
Preparation

Sauté
onion in shortening until golden
brown.

Add all spices and
cook for 5 minutes.

Add tomato and cook
for 2 or 3 minutes.

Then add ground meat
and cook for 15 minutes, stirring
frequently until almost dry.
