Naan is a leavened oven-baked flatbread. Indian breads are different from
the traditional western bread in two aspects. Most of Indian breads are flatbreads and do not contain any any leavening agents such as yeast (Naan is an exception). In
northern and central India, people
usually serve meal with Roti, which
is anunleavened flatbread similar to Tortilla.
