Khoya

 Description

Khoya or Khoa (also know as Mawa) is a type of milk product made from evaporating milk. It texture it is similar to ricotta cheese. Khoa can be consumed by itself or can be made into dessert such as pedha,  barfi (or burfi) and halwa (especially Gajar Ka Halwa). Substitute with unsalted ricotta cheese.
